There are many very talented people with Asperger's Syndrome who would be a valuable asset in the workplace. Many of these people are highly intellectual and capable, but due to difficulties with the application process and the work environment, are often disadvantaged in obtaining a job, or will often lose a job through miscommunication issues, particularly with regards to "unwritten" social rules. It is a duty for employers to make appropriate adjustments for people with disabilities, and is obviously advantageous to do so in order to get the best out of their employees. This seminar will highlight many of the issues faced by people with Asperger's Syndrome in the workplace, and will cover some of the possible adjustments employers can make to accommodate. |
